What It Is

No-drain clean and seal is how we clean most pools. We lower the water a few inches, blast the calcium and hard water scale off your waterline tile, and seal the tile before we leave. Your pool is never emptied. Most jobs take a few hours. Dust Devil Pool Tile Cleaning does this work in San Tan Valley, Queen Creek, Gold Canyon, Apache Junction, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Florence, Phoenix, and Scottsdale.

How It Works

1. We lower the water a few inches to expose the full calcium line.

2. We blast the tile with MaxxStrip, a soft, silica free mineral media. It is harder than calcium but softer than your tile, so the buildup comes off and the tile is not damaged.

3. MaxxStrip is pH neutral and dissolves in water, so it is safe for your pool and your landscaping.

4. We seal the tile. Arizona water is hard, so calcium always comes back over time. The sealer slows it down. Most customers have us back about once a year.

5. We clean up before we leave.

What We Clean

Waterline tile, Glass Tile, Natural Stone, Water Features, Pebble Tec, and other pebble finishes. Different surfaces hold buildup differently, so we adjust our approach to the finish.

Services

Full Drain Cleaning

When your water is too hard or your TDS or cyanuric acid is too high, we drain the pool, clean and seal the tile while it is empty, and you start over with fresh water. The drain adds $400 to the tile cleaning price.

Chemical Wash

For the toughest cases, a full drain and chemical surface wash for a complete reset. $850 for a play pool or smaller, $950 for a pool and spa. Larger pools are more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about pricing, the process, and what to expect. If you don't see your question, call or text (480) 463-6875.

Question 1: What is no-drain pool tile cleaning?

We clean your waterline tile with the water still in the pool. We lower the water a few inches, blast off the calcium and hard water scale, and seal the tile. Your pool is never emptied.

Question 2: Will blasting damage my tile?

No. We blast with MaxxStrip, a soft, silica free mineral media. It is harder than calcium but softer than your tile, so the buildup comes off and the tile is not damaged.

Question 3: Is the blast media safe for my pool water?

Yes. MaxxStrip is pH neutral and dissolves in water. It is safe for your pool and your landscaping.

Question 4: How long does the tile stay clean?

Arizona water is hard, so calcium always comes back over time. We seal the tile after every cleaning, which slows new buildup. Most customers have us back about once a year.

Question 5: How much does it cost?

Starts at $8 per linear foot with a $600 minimum. Most pools cost between $600 and $2,000. You get an exact price before we start.

Question 6: When does a pool need a full drain instead?

When you want the whole pool done for water chemistry reasons. We offer full drain cleaning and chemical washes for those jobs. A standard tile cleaning does not need a drain.
