The right chemical for your pool, not the same one for every pool.
A chemical wash is a full reset for your pool surface. We drain the pool and wash the surface with acid or chlorine, depending on what your pool needs. Most people call it an acid wash, but acid is not always the right tool. We call it a chemical wash because we pick the chemical to fit the problem. Dust Devil Pool Tile Cleaning does this work in San Tan Valley, Queen Creek, Gold Canyon, Apache Junction, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Florence, Phoenix, and Scottsdale.
Full Drain Pool Tile Clean and Seal
When your water is too hard or your TDS or cyanuric acid is too high, we drain the pool, clean and seal the tile while it is empty, and you start over with fresh water. The drain adds $400 to the tile cleaning price.
No-Drain Pool Tile Cleaning
We remove calcium and hard water buildup from your waterline tile, glass tile, natural stone, and Pebble Tec, then seal it to stay cleaner longer. We only lower the water a few inches. Your pool is never emptied.
We serve the East Valley, Phoenix, and Scottsdale: Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Florence, Gold Canyon, Apache Junction, Phoenix, and Scottsdale. Not sure if you're in range? Give us a call.

We drain the pool and wash the surface with acid or chlorine to remove stains, scale, or algae. It is a full reset for the pool surface. We call it a chemical wash because we choose the chemical based on what your pool needs.
An acid wash removes a very thin layer of the pool surface to get rid of mineral stains and scale. A chlorine wash kills algae and lifts organic stains without taking the surface off. Acid is stronger. Chlorine is easier on the pool.
Yes. A chemical wash is done on an empty pool. If you only need your waterline tile cleaned, that does not need a drain.
An acid wash works by removing a very thin layer of the surface, so it should not be done often. That is why we only use acid when the pool needs it, and use chlorine when it does not.
A chemical wash on a play pool or smaller is $850. A pool with an attached spa is $950. Larger pools are more, and you get an exact price before we start. These prices include draining the pool. Startup chemicals not included. Waterline tile cleaning is a separate service and starts at $8 per linear foot.
No. Startup chemicals are not included, and we do not recommend adding them right away. Wait about two weeks after the pool is refilled, then take a water sample to a pool store or test it yourself and add only what the test says you need. Dumping 4 to 6 pounds of chemicals into fresh water blind is a bad idea. Cyanuric acid soaks into the plaster walls and floor and does not all leave with the old water, so a refilled pool can come back with an acceptable CYA level on its own. Test first, then add.
Pricing depends on the size of your pool. Play pool or smaller: $850. Pool and spa: $950. Larger pools are more. Drain included. Startup chemicals not included. Tile cleaning is separate and starts at $8 per linear foot.
